Leaving Puerto del Rosario, you will head south towards the Antigua Cheese Museum, to discover the island through its rich cheesemaking tradition. The museum is made up of several themed areas, arranged around a large patio, and houses Antigua's original windmill, which has been restored and is in full operation. While visiting the different areas of the museum, you will also have the opportunity to taste some of the goat's cheeses. Don't miss the opportunity to discover the cactus garden, a green treasure with species that grow only on this island and other species from all over the world. Getting back on the bus and continuing south, you arrive at the Aloe Vera plantation, with its succulent plants, widely used in the cosmetics industry. Aloe Vera is rich in many vitamins, minerals, proteins and amino acids. Canarian farmers have known this plant for many years and often use it as a home remedy for many ailments. While visiting the plantation and factory, you will also have the opportunity to purchase products for the care and treatment of sunburn, scalp and hair, wrinkles, skin blemishes, psoriasis, acne, stretch marks, tired legs and body massage. The tour continues to the pretty village of Pájara, where you can admire the church decorated in Aztec style and immerse yourself in the relaxed and sleepy atmosphere. The mountain route is very suggestive and leads to the ancient capital Betancuria, dominated by high mountains: in addition to the village with its local charm and picturesque cobbled streets, a visit to the church of Santa María, located in the centre, is a must. Then, traveling north and leaving Betancuria, the coach will take the road to the Betancuria Mountains with its unique landscapes. After a stop for a tasty lunch in a typical restaurant, you will continue towards the main tourist area of the north, Corralejo. Enjoy some photo stops at the marina and the beautiful sand dunes, where you can admire views of the nearby islands of Lanzarote and Isla de Lobos.
