Excursion Kayaking with sea lions tour at Puerto Madryn

Cruise line: Silversea
Difficulty:

Set out for an active and immersive sea-kayaking experience at Punta Loma, a protected natural area along the Patagonian coast south of Puerto Madryn. Launching from a quiet beach within Golfo Nuevo, paddle stable double sea kayaks along cliffs and shoreline habitats that support one of the region’s most iconic marine species.

After a detailed briefing on paddling techniques and respectful wildlife interaction, begin your journey across calm coastal waters. As you move along the coast, enjoy close-range views of beaches, rocky headlands, and marine life shaped by tides and wind. The route leads toward areas inhabited by sea lions, where the animals are often seen swimming, resting on rocks, or moving through the water nearby.

This kayaking expedition offers a unique perspective on Patagonia’s coastal ecosystem, combining physical activity with the rare opportunity to observe wildlife from the water in its natural environment. The pace of the tour allows time to appreciate the landscape, sea conditions, and the feeling of exploration in a remote and protected setting.
