Discover the untamed beauty and unique charm of Iriomote and Yubu Islands during this scenic, full-day island-hopping adventure from Ishigaki.
Ferry Crossing and Iriomote Island
Depart the pier and transfer to the Ishigaki Remote Terminal, where you board a public ferry for the scenic crossing to Iriomote Island, often referred to as the “Galapagos of the East” due to its rich biodiversity. Upon arrival, continue by coach to the Wildlife Conservation Center. During your visit, learn about the island’s fragile ecosystem and the conservation efforts dedicated to protecting its endemic and endangered species, including the rare Iriomote wild cat.
Water Buffalo Cart Ride to Yubu Island
After your visit, travel to Mihara Port and experience one of the region’s most iconic traditions—a leisurely water buffalo cart ride across the shallow waters separating Iriomote from Yubu Island. This peaceful crossing offers a glimpse into the slower pace of island life and a unique perspective on the surrounding natural beauty.
Yubu Island Botanical Garden
Arrive on car-free Yubu Island and enjoy free time to explore its beautifully landscaped botanical garden. Stroll through tropical flora, vibrant flowers, and shaded pathways while enjoying the serene atmosphere. Lunch is available here in a self-service style, with included beverages.
