Excursion Hike the mythical mountain of torghatten tour at Brønnøysund

After a sightseeing drive through the small town of Brønnøysund, cross the gracefully arched Brønnøysund Bridge to reach the island of Torget, once home to a powerful Viking chieftain. From the trailhead, begin your hike on a well-maintained path with sweeping views of the sea and a chain of surrounding islands. As you ascend, you reach Torghatten's most iconic feature - a massive hole piercing straight through the mountain. Carved by the sea over millennia, this geological marvel is steeped in legend and is said to have been formed by a magical arrow shot by the Horseman of Hestmannen Island.

Please note: This tour is not suitable for guests with walking difficulties. Participants must have good physical conditions. This hike covers approximately 2.5 km (1.6 miles) r/t and involves loose gravel and rocks, boulders, stone steps and a consistent incline. The tour will operate in all weather conditions.
