Excursion Award winning shortcross gin at rademon distillery tour at Belfast

Depart from Belfast and head south toward the town of Downpatrick.

Rademon Estate

Just outside Downpatrick is the Rademon Estate, one of the oldest historic estates in Ireland. Since 2014, the owners been distilling Shortcross Gin on the estate, proudly Northern Ireland's first craft gin and now unquestionably the most awarded gin in Ireland. Their small batch philosophy ensures that every aspect of their gin meets their exacting vision.  

Shortcross GIn

Everything is crafted and perfected by hand. Shortcross is an aromatic and exceptionally smooth gin. Its unique flavour profile is created using fresh apples, elderflowers, elderberries and wild clover harvested on the estate, distilled alongside classic gin botanicals.

Distillery Tour & Tasting

After the tour of the Distillery, discover the Visitors Centre and the Shortcross Gin Bar and enjoy a guided tasting of this award-winning gin. There will also be time to browse the Distillery Shop and perhaps take home a bottle to enjoy at home.

On your return, you will enjoy a panoramic tour of Belfast city centre; sights will include the Albert Memorial Clock, Belfast City Hall and the Grand Opera House

Please note: This tour involves a minimal amount of walking, at times over uneven and gravel surfaces, with some steps to negotiate to get on/off the coach. Warm, comfortable clothing, a waterproof jacket, flat, closed-toe walking shoes and sun protection are recommended. Guests must be at least 18 years old to take part in the gin tasting.
