Auckland City Sights (Panoramic Sightseeing)

Depart the pier and travel along Tamaki Drive past the Port of Auckland on your way to Bastion Point. See the lovely beaches of Auckland before heading for Parnell Village. Parnell is New Zealand's oldest suburb is famed for its galleries, cafés, restaurants and charming boutique-style stores. Drive through the beautiful Auckland Domain, the city's oldest park. This 75 hectare park was developed around the cone of an extinct volcano. Continue through the central business district and past the famous Sky Tower, the tallest building in the southern hemisphere at 1,072 feet.


Auckland Maritime Museum

Upon reaching Auckland harbor, proceed to Auckland Maritime Museum and join your friendly guide who will bring to life the stories of New Zealand's voyaging history. The bond between New Zealand and the ocean is presented, preserved, and celebrated in this exceptional museum. Browse the galleries and exhibits detailing the nautical history of New Zealand from the earliest Polynesian settlers to today.


Auckland Harbour Sailing

After your visit, take a short walk around the harbour and embark on a 50ft monohull sailing yacht to begin your one hour sailing adventure. Sail where the wind takes you on Auckland's Waitematā Harbour, including under the Harbour Bridge when conditions permit. What better way to experience the City of Sails, than on the water looking back at some of Auckland's famous landmarks on this informative cruise. You will also have the opportunity to join the crew and help sail, otherwise simply sit back and enjoy the action as you sail down the beautiful Auckland Harbour.


Soljans Estate Winery, Wine Tasting & Buffet Lunch

Next, re-board your coach and drive to the unspoiled beauty of the Auckland Wine Trail. Breath-taking scenery, expansive vineyards and some of the country's premium wineries offer the world-renowned, locally produced New Zealand Rieslings, Sauvignon Blancs and Pinot Noirs.


Soljans Estate Winery, located at the gateway to the Kumeu Wine Country, has been family owned for three generations. With over 70 years of wine making experience, few wineries in New Zealand can claim to have a prouder winemaking heritage than Soljans Estate Wines.


The bright, Mediterranean-style décor welcomes you and the friendly, knowledgeable staff shares the story of how this family, originally from Croatia, became one of New Zealand's premier wine producers. The vineyard tour includes views of the family's estate and the cellars as well as detailing the family's fascinating history. Known for popular table wines, you may taste some of their award-winning wines, such as Pinot Gris, Merlot, and Tawny Port. After your tour and tasting, sit down to a buffet style lunch. There is also a lovely gift shop which you will have free time to browse.


At the conclusion of your visit, re-board your coach and commence the approximately 30-minute transfer to Auckland Airport for your flight home.

Please note: This tour is available to disembarking guests with flights departing Auckland International Airport after 7:00p.m. Guests must claim and clear their bags through Customs at the pier. Luggage will then accompany guests on the coach. This tour involves a moderate amount of walking, at times over mainly flat ground, however some there are some uneven surfaces at Soljans Estate. One hour guided walking tour at Auckland Maritime Museum is included. This tour is therefore not suitable for guests with limited mobility and guests who utilize a wheelchair. Experience is not required and the yachts are suitable for everyone from experienced racers to the most apprehensive first time sailor. Toilet facilities onboard the vessels are basic. Soft soled, non-slip shoes should be worn. Lightweight, comfortable clothing and warm jacket are recommended. Pregnant women and children under 10 years old cannot participate on this tour. Order of sights visited may vary. A minimum number of participants is required for this excursion to operate.
