It’s a chance to gain invaluable insights from a seasoned professional in the field.

Prehistoric village of Torre d'en Galmés

This is one of the largest and most significant Talayotic settlements on the island, showcasing a fascinating array of architectural features. You’ll explore its monumental structures, including towers, stone dwellings, and cisterns, which provide insights into life during the Bronze Age through to the Roman period. The site also offers stunning panoramic views of the southern coast of Menorca.

Next, you will make a stop at a local café to enjoy a snack before heading to Rafal Rubí, a remarkable Bronze Age funerary site unique to Menorca. Here, you’ll discover the distinctive stone funerary chambers and learn about ancient burial practices from a knowledgeable archaeologist.

Taula Temple Enclosure of Trepucó

The final visit will be to the taula temple enclosure of Trepucó (Mahón). This site features a magnificent taula sanctuary, a large tower constructed with cyclopean stones, and remnants of an 18th-century defensive wall built by the Spanish army during the siege of Saint Philip’s Castle in 1782, when the island was under British rule. The prehistoric wall surrounding the village was later fortified with Carthaginian-inspired techniques. Trepucó stands out as one of the most spectacular examples of Talayotic culture on the island.
