Stable Passenger Age
The average passenger age for March / April 2025 is 46 years old, reflecting a stabilization compared to 2024. After a peak of 50 years in 2018, the average age showed a downward trend, then stabilizing in recent years.
Travel Preferences: Couples and Families
Couples represent the majority (52%) of passengers in March / April 2025, followed by families (39%). Singles make up 5%, while tour groups are less represented (2%).
Cabins: Balcony and Interior Leading
Interior cabins are the most booked (37%), followed by balcony cabins (35%). Outside cabins account for 21%, while suites stand at 7%, reflecting a preference for more accessible solutions.
The Mediterranean Dominates Cruises
The Mediterranean is the preferred destination (77%) for cruises in March / April 2025. Greek Islands, Caribbean, ocean destinations and Northern Europe represent smaller shares, while the other 5% includes other destinations.
Rising Costs: Average Price Increasing
The average price per person for March / April 2025 reaches €1,070, constantly growing compared to previous years. After a minimum of €550 in 2021, prices have skyrocketed, highlighting an inflationary trend.
Genoa Leads for Departures
Genoa is the main departure port (23%) for cruises in March / April 2025, followed by Savona (16%) and Venice (11%). Miami is positioned with 8%, while other European and international ports complete the offer.
