This Silver Shore Overland Experience is a small-group luxury program, thoughtfully designed to deliver a highly personalized and immersive safari experience. Availability is limited and confirmed on a first-come, first-served basis. Advance booking is required a minimum of 90 days prior to sailing through Silversea Reservations.

A minimum number of participants is required for this experience to operate as described. Should participation numbers not be met, Silversea reserves the right to offer the program at a revised rate based on private arrangements or to cancel the departure with a full refund.

All Overland Experiences are non-transferable and non-refundable within 90 days of sailing, except in the event of cancellation by Silversea. Programs are operated by independent contractors, and Silversea assumes no responsibility for services provided by these operators.

DAY ONE – Monday, 12 April 2027 - Cape Town / Maun / Okavango Delta

Transfer from the harbour to Cape Town International Airport
After disembarking the ship, meet your guide and transfer to Cape Town International Airport for check-in.

Seat in flight into the Okavango Delta and transfer to Chief’s Camp


Upon arrival at Maun Airport, complete customs and immigration formalities before boarding a light aircraft for a scenic charter flight into the Okavango Delta. From the air, enjoy spectacular views of winding waterways and wildlife-rich floodplains before landing at the Chief’s Camp airstrip. Transfer to the lodge for check-in; final timings will be confirmed closer to departure.

Check-in and introduction to Chief’s Camp


Set within the former royal hunting grounds of Chief Moremi, Chief’s Camp enjoys a prime location in one of Botswana’s most game-rich regions. Surrounded by permanent water channels and open plains, the camp is widely regarded as one of the Okavango Delta’s most prestigious safari lodges. Completely redesigned with contemporary elegance and African character, the property features refined public spaces overlooking a waterhole, a spa and gym, swimming pool deck, fire-pit seating, and warm hospitality that defines the safari experience.

Each guest is accommodated in a spacious Bush Pavilion Suite, among the largest and most luxurious tented suites in the Delta. Elevated and discreetly positioned for privacy, each suite features an open-plan bedroom and lounge, private indoor and outdoor dining areas, floor-to-ceiling doors opening onto a shaded veranda, and a private plunge pool overlooking the surrounding wilderness. The en-suite bathroom includes a deep soaking tub, indoor and outdoor rain showers, and double vanity, allowing guests to remain immersed in nature without compromise to comfort.

Depart in open-air 4WD safari vehicles led by highly experienced professional guides and trackers. The cool early morning hours offer exceptional opportunities to observe predator activity, large elephant herds, antelope, and prolific birdlife.

Lunch and leisure time at the camp


Return to camp for lunch followed by leisure time to relax by the pool, enjoy the views from your private deck, or unwind in the tranquil surroundings.

Afternoon game drive


In the late afternoon, depart on another guided safari, revealing the Delta under changing light conditions and highlighting species that emerge toward dusk.

DAY THREE – Wednesday, 14 April 2027 - Chief’s Camp, Okavango Delta

Early-morning wake-up call and breakfast

Rise early to a gentle wake-up call as the Delta comes to life around you. Freshly brewed tea and coffee are served in the main lodge, followed by a hearty breakfast designed to fuel the morning’s exploration. This quiet time before sunrise offers an opportunity to absorb the stillness of the bush and observe wildlife activity around the camp.

Morning game drive
Set out once more to explore this remarkable ecosystem, where lions, buffalo, leopard, red lechwe, and the rare African wild dog are frequently encountered.

Lunch and leisure time at the camp

Return to camp for lunch followed by leisure time to relax by the pool, enjoy the views from your private deck, or unwind in the tranquil surroundings.

Afternoon at leisure and game drive
Enjoy leisure time before embarking on your final afternoon game drive, concluding with sundowners in a scenic wilderness setting before returning to camp.

DAY FOUR – Thursday, 15 April 2027 - Okavango Delta / Maun / Walvis Bay

Breakfast at the lodge & Early morning Safari

Begin your final day with an early-morning wake-up call as the Okavango Delta awakens to birdsong and the distant movements of wildlife. Tea, coffee, and light refreshments are served in the main lodge, followed by a leisurely yet nourishing breakfast prepared to fuel the morning’s exploration. Soon after, depart in open-air 4WD safari vehicles for a final morning game drive. Guided by expert rangers and trackers, this concluding safari offers a rewarding opportunity to observe predators returning from the night’s hunt and plains game active in the cool morning air, providing a memorable and fitting finale to your Okavango Delta safari experience.

Check-out and transfer to the airstrip / Charter flight from Chief’s Camp to Maun


Following your final morning safari and a relaxed breakfast at the lodge, return to your suite to complete check-out procedures. You are then escorted by the lodge team to the nearby airstrip for departure. Board a light aircraft for a scenic charter flight back to Maun, offering one last aerial perspective of the Okavango Delta’s winding waterways and patchwork of floodplains below. Arrival in Maun: approximately 12:55.

Charter flight from Maun to Walvis Bay / Transfer to the harbour


Upon arrival in Maun, continue your journey onward by charter aircraft to Walvis Bay, Namibia. This privately operated flight provides a seamless transition from Botswana’s inland wilderness to Namibia’s Atlantic coastline, offering comfort and efficiency outside of the commercial airline environment. Following landing at Walvis Bay Airport, guests must complete Namibian immigration formalities, including passport control and entry procedures. A valid Namibian visa is required for entry into the country; guests are strongly advised to obtain a Namibian e-visa in advance, prior to the start of the overland programme, to ensure a smooth and efficient arrival process. 

After completing immigration procedures, onward arrangements are in place for transfer to the harbour to re-join the ship.

Baggage Advisory – Light Aircraft Operations

Due to weight and space restrictions on light aircraft used for charter flights within the Okavango Delta, guests are limited to one soft-sided bag per person, with a maximum weight of 20 kilograms (44 pounds). Wheeled or hard-sided suitcases are not permitted. One small piece of hand luggage, such as a camera or daypack, is allowed within the overall weight limit. Excess or non-compliant luggage may not be accommodated and could be subject to storage at the guest’s expense.
