The journey begins with a scenic drive through Boston, passing the waterfront district and the Rose Kennedy Greenway. Crossing the Charles River into Cambridge, the group arrives at Harvard Square, the historic heart of Harvard University.

In Harvard Square, a student guide leads an in-depth exploration of this prestigious institution. The tour includes a walk through both historic and modern parts of the campus, offering fascinating insights into Harvard’s founding in 1636, its distinguished alumni—including 47 Nobel Laureates and 48 Pulitzer Prize winners—and its significant role in American history. Key sites include the oldest sections of the campus, Memorial Hall—honoring Harvard men who fought in the Civil War—and other landmarks providing a glimpse into student life and university traditions.

The tour concludes with free time to independently explore Harvard Square, immersing in its lively atmosphere, shops, and cafés.

Return Journey through Boston’s Landmarks

The return drive passes Copley Square, featuring architectural landmarks such as Trinity Church, Boston Public Library, and the John Hancock Tower. Continuing through the upscale Back Bay neighborhood, the coach passes the Boston Public Garden and historic Beacon Hill before heading back to the pier.

Please note: This moderate activity includes approximately 75 minutes of easy to moderate walking and standing over mostly paved sidewalks with slight uneven surfaces, curbs, and some steps to negotiate in and out of the van. The excursion is not recommended for guests who use a wheelchair or have limited mobility. Guests should wear weather-appropriate clothing and comfortable walking shoes. The tour does not include entry into any Harvard buildings. There is approximately 1 hour of free time during which guests can shop at independent bookstores, music stores, shops, and coffeehouses. Please bring a credit card, cash in USD, sunglasses, a hat, and a water bottle from the ship. The space on this tour is extremely limited and we suggest to book it early to avoid dissappointment.
