Excursion Cycling the atlantic shoreline tour at Salvador

One of the best active ways to see the Salvador de Bahia shoreline is by bicycle. Explore the city and see its highlights and panoramic views on this tour that also includes a tasting of traditional food.

We depart from pier on a short car ride to reach our starting point at the Bike store, passing by Porto da Barra beach, one of the popular postcards in the city. We then listen to some important explanations and rules to follow during our biking activity.

Barra lighthouse, Cristo Hill, Rio Vermelho

On your first leg of the itinerary, go towards Barra lighthouse, where the Bay finally joins the Ocean. Take some time for photos and continue the circuit hugging the Atlantic coastline. Your next stop is Cristo Hill, where a beautiful view of the lighthouse awaits. Continue towards the popular Rio Vermelho neighborhood, a traditional fishing community and also the most popular bohemian neighborhood.

Yemanja house

Stop by the Yemanja house, a little house dedicated to the African deity of the sea in the Candomblé mythology. Your guide can share some of the curiosities and interesting facts about this neighborhood and African heritage.

Local Beaches

Continue passing by Amaralina beach, Alah Garden and stop to refresh with a coconut water, Now, back in our vehicle, to continue our way to Itapuã Beach, passing by Boca do Rio beach, Pituaçu beach, Jaguaribe beach, and Piatã Beach. Itapuã is the so popular beach community famous for the Brazilian musicians Toquinho & Vinicius de Moraes; visit the local memorial house.
