Countryside Drive and Sirince Village

Depart the pier for a scenic, approximately 45-minute drive through fertile valleys and olive groves to the historic village of Sirince, renowned for its blend of Turkish and Greek heritage. Perched on a hillside surrounded by vineyards and fruit trees, this charming village enchants visitors with its whitewashed houses, cobbled streets, and breathtaking mountain views. Recognized by the UNWTO in 2023 as one of the World’s Best Tourism Villages, Sirince has preserved its traditional architecture and way of life while embracing a sustainable approach to tourism.

Nisanyan Inn and Cooking Workshop

Upon arrival, proceed to the Nisanyan Inn, a lovingly restored stone guesthouse nestled above the village. Here, you are warmly welcomed by your hosts and offered a refreshing drink before beginning your interactive cooking workshop. In the rustic kitchen overlooking the hills, learn about the fundamentals of Turkish cuisine and its deep connection to local ingredients. Guided by your hosts, prepare a variety of traditional dishes, perhaps savoury pastries filled with cheese and herbs, hearty casseroles cooked in clay pots, and fresh salads dressed with the region’s renowned olive oil.

Lunch and Turkish Coffee Experience

Once the cooking is complete, sit down together to enjoy the dishes you have prepared, accompanied by local wine, beer, or soft drinks. This shared meal is the heart of Turkish hospitality, where food and friendship intertwine in a warm, relaxed atmosphere. After lunch, your hosts invite you to experience the art of Turkish coffee preparation, an age-old ritual that reflects centuries of tradition. Watch as they carefully brew the coffee over gentle heat, then taste this rich, aromatic beverage served with a touch of local sweetness.

Following your coffee experience, re-board your vehicle and relax during the scenic drive back to Kusadasi.
