Victorian Mansion
A grand example of 19th-century architecture, the Victorian Mansion was built in the late 1800s. This meticulously preserved house features ornate woodwork, stained glass windows, and expansive rooms that reflect the wealth of its original owners. The design includes elaborate gables, a sweeping staircase, and period furnishings, immersing visitors in the elegance of a bygone era. Docents are available in each area to answer questions.
Henry Wadsworth-Longfellow House
The tour concludes at the Henry Wadsworth-Longfellow House, the poet’s former residence for nearly half his life. Built in 1785, this Georgian-style home showcases Longfellow’s life and legacy, with rooms furnished in the period style and artifacts belonging to the poet and his family. Visitors can gain insight into his creative world and enduring influence.

Please Note: This tour involves approximately 30 minutes of slow walking and standing per visit, with 1-3 steps to board and disembark the van. There are 12 steps at the entrance of the Victoria Mansion and one flight of stairs (about 15 steps) inside the mansion. A ramp is available for entry into the Victoria Mansion. There are also a few steps at the Longfellow House. The tour is not suitable for guests with limited mobility or those using a wheelchair. Guests are advised to wear weather-appropriate clothing, including flat, closed-toe walking shoes, and to bring sun protection and a sweater or light jacket. Please note that the tour sequence may vary. The space on this tour is extremely limited and we suggest to book it early to avoid dissappointment.
