Excursion Tiputa pass and snorkeling tour at Rangiroa

Cruise line: Silversea
Difficulty:

This excursion is one of the best ways to discover Tuamotu underwater beauties.

Join your professional dive guide at the tender pier and set out by well-equipped snorkel boat as you head through Tiputa Pass, the narrow natural channel that connects the open ocean to the Rangiroa’s central lagoon. The powerful currents here attract diverse marine life, from agile bottlenose dolphins to docile lagoon sharks, graceful rays, and giant Napolean wrasses. The boat will go through the Tiputa Pass to reach the first snorkeling stop.

Arriving at the calm waters of the adjacent lagoon, you’ll slide overboard and follow your guide on a thrilling snorkeling exploration of Rangiroa’s world-renowned natural aquarium. The shapes, colors, and dazzling clarity will astound.

Back on the boat, cruise through to the ocean side, where you will be on the lookout for those acrobatic bottlenose dolphins that frequent the area. Weather and sea conditions permitting, you’ll even have the chance to snorkel alongside their natural environment before the trip back to the tender pier – with your senses fully captivated by the 90 minutes of Rangiroa wonder you’ve witnessed.

At conclusion, the snorkeling boat will take you back to the pier to make your way to the ship.
