Excursion Tierra mayor trekking (moderate) tour at Ushuaia

This hike is perfect for those looking to explore the natural beauty of Tierra Del Feuho without tackling overly strenuous terrain. Travel northeast of Ushuaia to Tierra Mayor Valley Natural Reserve for a two-hour guided walk through the scenic natural wonders of Patagonia. Your adventure will start at the mountain refuge of Nunatak. The ground in that area is a mixture of mud and peat and as such is nearly always moist. From the Nunatak refuge the long walk begins, you will cross peat bogs, Lengas and Cohiues of hundreds of years (very old trees). The possibility of seeing foxes, condors and the beavers work. The hike will end back at Nunatak where you will be welcomed with some hot chocolate. A short drive will return you to the pier.

Please note: A moderate amount of walking for approximately 5 km (3.1 miles), over uneven, bumpy surfaces with inclines and a few steps at the park and to negotiate to get on/off the coach. Guests should be in good physical condition as it involves 2h trekking over uneven terrain. Due to the type of terrain, guests must remain with the group, no independent explorations are allowed without an authorized licensed guide. This experience takes place in a Natural Reservoir environment, guests are requested to respect local flora & fauna according to the local laws and regulations. The tour is subject to weather conditions. Dress warmly in layers, with sturdy, waterproof hiking boots or trekking shoes, and bring sun protection and a weatherproof jacket.
