Your S.A.L.T. Program experience begins with a short drive to the Parish of St. George and a visit to the renowned Tower Estate, an historic great house perched atop a small peak and surrounded by a lush estate. This magnificent stone building features mahogany ceilings and hand-crafted, panelled walls. It is adorned with period antiques, and a unique collection of maps and prints that hold the keys to rich, historical stories of Grenada. The Great House is set amidst beautifully landscaped gardens, and surrounded by tropical, flowering, and fruit trees, shrubs, vegetables, and the island's world-renowned array of spices.

Your arrival is greeted by Isabelle Slinger and Belinda Bishop, accomplished global chef and founder of Flavours of Grenada®, a business focusing on sustainable agriculture and the utilisation of Grenadian resources to create a base for culinary tourism in Grenada. Chef Bishop shares her passion through introducing the history of inter Caribbean agriculture and its various influences on contemporary Grenadian cuisine to visitors from around the world. After a welcome refreshment and an introduction to the Tower Estate by owner Isabelle Slinger, Chef Bishop takes the group on a step-by-step journey from 'farm-to-table' during a guided walking tour of the natural gardens while picking an array of aromatic spices and exotic vegetables to be utilised in your open-air, interactive cooking session.

Join Chef Bishop in exploring authentic and popular Grenadian cuisine and beverages whilst helping to prepare them. Sharing food is at the very heart of Grenadian culture, and this fun-filled experience is a celebration of island cocktails, music, storytelling, and friendship whilst your pot simmers down to uniquely delicious, flavourful, and enticing Grenadian fare. Next, join your chefs for a delicious, family-style lunch consisting of the dishes you have helped to prepare. After lunch and a comfort stop, some free time is made available to browse for souvenirs or take a quiet stroll around the garden at your leisure. Your S.A.L.T. Program excursion concludes with short drive back to the pier.

Please note: This S.A.L.T. Program tour involves a moderate amount of walking, at times over uneven, cobblestone, and natural surfaces and inclines, with a few steps to negotiate to get on/off the coach. Walking at the Tower Estate is at the discretion of each guest. This tour is not suitable for guests with food and/or outdoor allergies, guests with limited mobility, and guests who utilise a wheelchair. Guests are advised to wear lightweight, comfortable clothing with flat, sturdy, and closed-toe walking or hiking shoes, and bring sun protection, insect repellent, raingear, bottled water, and US Dollars or credit cards for purchases from the ship; please bring an extra pair of shoes for after the walking tour of the farm. Guests must be at least 18 years old to participate on this tour; minors under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian over 18 years old. Guests must be at least 18 years old to be served alcoholic beverages. Two cocktails are included; additional beverages are available at your own expense. Food safety items (plastic gloves, aprons, and hair nets) are provided. Commercial re-use of any photography/videography taken at the Tower Estate without the expressed permission of the Tower Estate is prohibited. A waiver must be signed in order to participate. The tour sequence may vary. Space on this tour is extremely limited; we suggest you book well in advance to avoid disappointment.
