Arrecife, Salinas del Janubio, Private Tour and Tasting

Depart the pier for the scenic, approximately 30-minute drive to Salinas del Janubio. Upon arrival, take a guided tour, and visit a viewpoint from where you can see locals working on the salt pans, and the Bodega where they keep the salt. Following your tour, proceed for a tasting of their salt flower, a form of pure salt collected according to very traditional techniques of marine origin. This salt is collected manually and does not go through any industrial process. It is stored in containers for a year, allowing the sun and wind to dry it into a pure product, without additives or transformation, and with very limited production.

Timanfaya National Park, Volcanoes, Lunar-Like Landscape, Specially-Designed Wheelchair Route

Next, drive to Timanfaya National Park, famous for its volcanoes and similarity in appearance to Mars and the Moon. If it were not for the intense blue of the sky, many photos taken in Lanzarote could be mistaken for lunar-like landscapes. During a stop by the Visitors Center of Timanfaya National Park, you are invited to participate in a specially-designed wheelchair route leading towards the volcanoes. Along the way, learn about your surrounds and marvel at the spectacular panoramic views of the unusual landscape. Following your visit, re -board your coach and commence the approximately 30-minute drive back to the pier

This tour involves a moderate amount of walking for approximately 0.6 miles (about one kilometre), at times over uneven and natural surfaces, with a few steps to negotiate to get on/off the adapted coach. An adapted coach is utilised on this tour, which makes it is suitable for guests with limited mobility and guests who utilise a wheelchair. Guests are advised to wear lightweight, comfortable clothing with flat, closed-toe walking shoes, and bring sun protection, bottled water, and Euros or credit cards for purchases from the ship. Guests must be at least six years old to participate on this tour; minors must be accompanied by a parent or guardian over 18 years old to participate on this tour. Guests must be at least 18 years old to be served alcoholic beverages. This tour does not operate on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays. The tour sequence may vary. Space on this tour is extremely limited; we suggest you book well in advance to avoid disappointment.
