Deep See Rafting & Crab Pots

After a brief stroll along the pier, meet your driver/guide, and receive safety instructions and be fitted for weatherproof suit, goggles and life jacket.

Next, embark your deep-sea motorised zodiac and set off towards the Sarnesfjord to inspect a string of crab-pots. The catch in the pots is likely to be between 6 and 14 pounds (14-30 kilograms). As the pot is brought up, see the king crabs and take photos before returning to shore for a king crab meal.

King Crab Meal

Lunch is presented in a traditional lavvo. A lavvo is a Sami tent with an open fire in the middle; guests sit on the ground around the fire on reindeer skins. In this tent, the crabs are prepared, cooked, and served with bread and butter and mineral water or coffee.

After dining, commence in the Zodiac and ride back to the pier, return your equipment, change into dry clothing and walk back the ship.
