Experience the landscapes of southern Chile from a different perspective during a horseback ride through the countryside near Puerto Varas. Surrounded by rolling pastures, native forest, and views of the Lake District, this excursion offers a peaceful introduction to one of Chile’s most scenic regions.
Following a short transfer and riding orientation, set out on horseback along gentle trails that cross open farmland and areas used for traditional livestock grazing. Along the way, observe local sheep herds and learn about rural life in the region from your guide.
The route continues into the Valdivian Rainforest, one of the world’s few temperate rainforests and home to a rich variety of native flora and fauna. As you ride beneath the forest canopy, discover the unique ecosystem that has shaped this region of southern Chile for centuries.

Please note: Guests must be in good physical condition and able to mount and dismount a horse without assistance. Participants should feel comfortable maintaining balance while riding for extended periods. The minimum age for participation is 12 years, and the maximum rider weight is 200 lbs (91 kg). A signed waiver is required, and all medical conditions must be disclosed prior to participation. Walking is minimal and takes place on mostly flat surfaces including gravel, grass, and paved areas around the ranch. Weather in this region is unpredictable, and rain showers may occur at any time of year. Guests are advised to dress in layers using breathable fabrics and bring rain gear, sturdy walking or hiking shoes, a hat, sunglasses, and sun protection. Although only a few horseflies are found in the area, light-colored clothing and insect repellent are recommended. The itinerary may vary depending on weather and operational conditions.
