Excursion Fuegian wilderness by 4wd tour at Ushuaia

Enjoy a half-day 4WD tour and enjoy some relaxation at Ushuaia's heights during this scenic, off-road adventure in the Fuegian wilderness.

Depart the pier aboard a 4WD vehicle and begin your approximate one-hour drive north along National Route 3 to the glacial valleys area. As you make your way to Carvajal Valley, feast your eyes with the view of Mount Olivia guarding a valley surrounded by snowy peaks, dense forest and marshes, where the off-road will take you for approximately one hour of thrilling tracks.

Continue on to enjoy a 30-minute long walk along the sub-antarctic forest and peat bogs that ends at a lookout over the Alvear mountains range with panoramic views of the White Dome and Bonete Mountains.  

After the off-road adventure, return to the Nunatak Refuge and enjoy a snack with stunning views of the mountain range.

The tour will conclude with a drive back to Ushuaia.

Please note: This tour involves an extensive amount of walking and rough, off-road driving over bumpy and uneven surfaces. This tour is recommended for guests in good physical condition and is not suitable for guests with back and/or neck problems, guests with limited mobility and guests who utilise a wheelchair. We suggest guests dress in comfortable seasonal attire and wear appropriate footwear for outdoor activities. The vehicles may get stuck in the mud. Restrooms are available at the end of the ride; during the ride, a stop can be made along the roadside. Participants on this tour are required to sign a waiver. This tour is conducted in 4WD with different seating throughout the vehicle.  Guests will be asked to alternate between front and rear seats. This tour is quite rustic.
