Excursion Dunluce castle & giant's causeway tour at Belfast

Cruise line: Silversea
Difficulty:

The spectacular Antrim Coast and Giant's Causeway are the jewels in Northern Ireland's crown. From the rugged cliffs of the coast to the magical beauty of the Glens, here is the best of what Northern Ireland has to offer.

Leave Belfast behind, and travel by coach north through quaint villages and verdant countryside, travelling to the ruins of Dunluce Castle for a photo stop. Dating to the 13th century, the castle has long since lost its roof however, its two large drum towers and many of the walls remain intact. The Castle's windswept location on the Craggy Coast makes it a truly awe-inspiring vantage point.

Continue onto the Giant's Causeway's 40,000 stone uniform columns, formed millions of years ago with the cooling of molten lava. Exploring the cobblestone-like paths, it is easy to see why the Giant's Causeway is a World Heritage Site, a National Site and a National Nature Reserve. After leaving the Giant's Causeway board the coach for a short transfer to a local establishment where you will enjoy a delicious lunch.
