Cruise line: SilverseaDifficulty:
Join us on a memorable trip to Drangey, blending sightseeing, birdwatching, and hiking with expert guidance. Reach the island’s summit via a man-made path along the cliffs, getting up close to resting puffins just meters away. As you hike, our guides share tales of Grettir the Strong, the Viking exiled on the island, and the island’s resource history from past to present.
Drangey is a birdwatcher’s paradise, home to thousands of seabirds including puffins, guillemots, gannets, kittiwakes, fulmars, shearwaters, ravens, and gyrfalcons. Its towering palagonite cliffs, approximately 180 meters high, offer spectacular views over the fjord, making this a truly unforgettable experience.
