Fort of San Diego and Historical Museum

Depart the pier for the short drive to the Fort of San Diego, which was built centuries ago to stave off constant pirate attacks. Upon arrival, proceed inside for a visit to the Historical Museum. Here, view interesting artefacts tracing Acapulco's beginnings, and items brought from the Far East such as spices, fabrics and Chinese porcelain.

Caleta and Los Flamingos Hotel

Next, re-board you coach and drive to the Caleta area, where stars such as Cary Grant, Gregory Peck, Errol Flynn, and John Wayne used to own houses and spend their holidays. A stop is made at the Los Flamingos Hotel, an old-time favourite, to learn about their favourite drinks and how to prepare them.

Mexican Cooking Lesson and Papagayo Park Shopping

Your tour continues with a cooking demonstration at the 100% Natural restaurant. Discover the secrets of cooking traditional Mexican cuisine, and learn how to prepare popular local snacks. Following your cooking demonstration, enjoy the snacks with a refreshing drink. Your tour concludes with a shopping stop at Papagayo Park before commencing the short drive back to the pier.

Please note: This tour involves a moderate amount of walking for approximately 800 yards (about 731 metres), at times over uneven surfaces, with a few steps to negotiate to get on/off the van and 17 steps at the sites visited.
