Costera Miguel Alemán and Las Brisas

Depart the pier for the scenic, approximately 30-minute orientation drive through Acapulco. Tour the main avenue, Costera Miguel Alemán, then take in spectacular views whilst passing the Las Brisas residential area with its attractive mansions.

Chapel of Peace and Fort of San Diego

Next, proceed to the inter-denominational Chapel of Peace, which offers stunning vistas overlooking the harbour. Following a guided tour, re-board your coach and continue on to the star-shaped Fort of San Diego. The fort was first built in the 17th century to stave off constant pirate attacks, then completely rebuilt in the 18th century. The Historical Museum is located inside the fort, and displays interesting artefacts tracing Acapulco's beginnings and subsequent growth. Following your guided tour, re-board your coach and head towards Caleta.

Caleta

Former Hollywood stars such as Cary Grant, Gregory Peck, Errol Flynn, and John Wayne used to own houses and spend their holidays here. Although its heyday has passed, you can still see the hotels and houses of yesteryear. Afterward, proceed for a refreshment stop at the Los Flamingos Hotel. Your last stop is the B & B Shop at Papagayo Park, where some free time is made available for shopping. At the conclusion of your visit, re-board the coach and commence the approximately 30-minute drive back to the pier.

Please note: This tour involves a moderate amount of walking for approximately 0.8 miles (about 1.3 kilometres), at times over uneven surfaces and inclines, with a few steps to negotiate to get on/off the van and 20 steps at the Chapel of Peace. This tour is suitable for guests with limited mobility, but is not wheelchair-accessible. Lightweight, comfortable clothing with flat, closed-toe walking shoes and sun protection are recommended. Guests must be at least eight years old to participate on this tour. The driver acts as a guide.
