Excursion Behind the patagonian footprints tour at Puerto Madryn
Cruise line: SilverseaDifficulty:
Scenic drive to Trelew City. Upon arrival, head for a visit to the Paleontological Museum Egidio Feruglio (MEF Museum), one of the most important scientific institutions in Argentina. Upon arrival, enjoy a guided tour of its permanent exhibits and a backstage visit to observe how the museum operates behind the scenes.
Every year, MEF investigators and technicians travel through the Chubut Province in order to explore potential sites of scientific interest. Fossils and paleontological samples are hidden, after millions of years in the sediment, waiting to be finally discovered. These pieces provide valuable information to understand how our ancient history, and planet, evolved. During this fascinating visit, see how the paleontologists work, and how they've rebuilt and studied these millennial giants.
After the Paleontological visit is concluded, you will head to the Welsh Village of Gaiman for homemade High Tea with sweet pastries and local delicatessens.
