Price for children $64.87 The discovery of Yesilova Höyük in 2003 rewrote the history of Izmir which until its discovery of this settlement was thought to be based on 5000 years. Leave the port and take a 30-minute coach transfer to Izmir's oldest settlement. Once you arrive at the site, you will step back 8,500 years during an interesting hour and a half visit. The mound, located right in the center of the Bornova plain, has a diameter of 800 meters and is the settlement from which Izmir was born and developed over the centuries. During the visit you will be able to observe the archaeologists at work while with the "Time Travel" project, it will be the students who, wearing the clothes of the time, explain the daily activities of that period. Making or using stone tools, working and firing clay, painting ornaments are examples of these activities. And if you are traveling with children, they will be happy to enter the exciting world of archeology at the Archaeological Park, designed for students aged 6 to 12. They will be able to discover the history by doing an archaeological dig using real trowels, shovels and brushes. An exciting educational visit for adults and fun for children.
