Excursion Sapadere canyon tour at Alanya

Sapadere Village and Tea

Depart the pier for the scenic, approximately one-hour drive to Sapadere. Your first stop is at this small mountain village, which includes a short walk around the area and tea served in the village. Afterward, proceed on-foot for a guided stroll to the nearby canyon.

Sapadere Canyon Nature Trek

Upon arrival, marvel at the delightful nature scenes, waterfalls, rare plants, butterflies, and small animals and birds. Continue walking along the ladders in the canyon, and take in the refreshing clean air. You can also drink the cool, clean water; a treat on hot summer days, as the water reaches a high of 53.6°F (about 12°C) during the warmest time of the year.

Archaeological Museum

Next, re-board your coach for the drive back to Alanya, and a visit to the Archaeological Museum. The museum consists of two sections devoted to the conservation and display of archaeological and ethnographic artefacts. Exhibited in a separate room is the crowned jewel of Alanya's Archaeological Museum; a very well-preserved bronze statue of Hercules, approximately 20.4 inches (52 centimetres) in height and dating from the 2nd century BCE Following your visit, re-board your coach and commence the approximately 45-minute drive back to the pier.

Please note: This tour involves an extensive amount of walking for approximately 2 km/1.25 miles, at times over uneven and slippery surfaces, with a few steps to negotiate to get on/off the coach. This tour is not suitable for guests with limited mobility and guests who utilise a wheelchair.
